Cable manufacturer AmerCable has announced an expansion to its existing operations in El Dorado, Arkansas, earmarking more than $10 million for the project and adding 13 new jobs.
Work on the new expansion is expected to begin in the third quarter and will add an additional 26,000 square feet to the existing facility’s footprint. It currently employs 250 workers for the manufacturing of jacketed electrical power, control, and instrumentation cables.
Stan Calloway, AmerCable vice president of Operations, said the expansion will also upgrade the facility to relieve certain manufacturing line constraints and enable the launch of additional medium-voltage products. The additions will be vital to new and existing customer demand across the global mining, industrial markets, and data center sectors.
AmerCable, an arm of Mattr Corporation since 2025, will be hiring for a range of positions, including line operators, technicians, and engineers. The company did not disclose a timeline for hiring, but encouraged interested individuals to visit its website.
